Fish in a 120

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Go brackish and get some archers and datnoids. A couple RBPs would be cool, or you could get a few young oscars and let them pair up. Or you could fill it with 100 guppies and then in a few weeks, add something to eat them all!:headbang2

Get a group of African cichlids..(Frontosa's)! you can have about 10 max. They look great, especially when they go schooling.

i'd get some big cichlids and some bichirs for the bottom to clean up all their leftovers.......that would look real cool...........

what I would do, which is my plan for my empty 125gal. once I have room, is to make it a heavily planted Amano style tank with a nasty school of exodons. you could put about two dozen in there safely and grow them out to their full length.

get 3 or 4 monster red bellied pirahna's that'll kick some ***

Since you said fish that don't get to big I would go with a really varied community tank with tons of neons, barbs, dwarf cichlids,Gouramis, Rasboras,Angelfish and maybe a couple of Discus:drool: and some more things like that.
If you want somethin a little bit more aggressive go for some of the medium to large SA cichlids with a couple cats. But in the end it all depends on what u can afford and ur preference.
O brackish would be sooooooo cool too!

how many bichirs could live in a 120 and with what tank mates?

i would put 2-4 in there at most and i would get maybe oscars, jds, green terrors, convicts, firemouths, or maybe a red devil.......any of those cichlids with bichirs would be real cool imo.....

I have peacocks and electric blues with my bichirs.....
