ok guys well my petstore ordered me a clown knife and a parrot im going to be picking it up tmrw but the thing is i work, so ill probably be picking it up at around 2 will it live till 6? any tips to making it live?

Well I have traveled with my Green Terror and it has lasted in a bag for about 5-6 hours. The best thing for you to do would get a cooler or something so the water will remain as much of a constant temperature that it can. Also you may need to shake swish the bag around a little which will keep oxygen plenty for the fish

oxygen tablets if your worried. heard of people using these in bags if the fish is in for a long trip. and a polly box, i have one kept from previous fish deliveries, this helps to secure the fish in one place easily and looks out for the temp. for 6hrs you shouldnt need a heat pack. just bubble wrap or use towels to wrap the bag up inside the box.

I transported 4 juvi Red Bellied Piranha 8 hours in a cooler with a $10 battery operated pump. It's important that temp stays appropriate for fish. You can pick up a little styrofoam cooler at most gas stations, poke a hole in it. Buy a $10 battery pump. I think mine was a hagen. I got it at the store that I got the fish and the cooler across the street. Or if you can take it into the building you work in, take along a little air pump and plug it in.....chances are though you don't even have to go through that trouble, if they are going to be in bags that they put 02 in. Temp is your biggest threat.

I might have been a little confusing on last thread. Only use air pump if it's going to be a long time. Otherwise just put bagged fish in cooler while they are still in bag for temp purposes. I was rambling more about longer periods of time than you were referring to.
