I just upgraded to a 610 gallon tank about 1 1/2 ago and I can't seem to keep my fish out of the overflow I'm fishing up to 6 fish out a day any one else have this issue and any suggestions on how to fix it.

I've had this happen many times, especially fry. They end up in overflows, sumps, protein skimmers, and even free standing fluidized bed filters.
I found putting screen, egg crate, or mesh around the over flow open areas and weirs help, but then the screens (etc) must be checked daily to help prevent blockages that could start a tank overflow. If your overflows are PVC, there are screen caps that are threaded and work nicely.

I have the thread on caps on my stand pipes so they are not ending up in the sump. What works best to put around the overflows

Try some of the plastic netting that some friuts are packaged in.Which fish of yours are getting into the overflow?

Same had it happen. Took 5 days for the fish to make its way through the sump maze, and wind up on top of the first line of filter material. Fish Survived!
Ive debated on putting something to cover it like a sock on the inlet of the suction tube. That way its already bagged and captured.

Had a mid sized wolf that like to get into the overflow, no idea why.

Depends heavily on the type of fish. If they're Polypterids or eels, they're probably slithering through a little hole or something. If they're cichlids or something like that, they're probably jumping.

My 2 Jacks and arowana have all taken the plunge one or twice and it seems my 6 clown loaches are in there every morning
