Is it possible to house 2 Giant Gouramis, 1 Royal Clown Knife, 1 Jack Dempsey, 1 Green Terror, 1 Oscar, and 1 Pacu in a 600 gallon pond? Or would the pacu be too much?

Indoor or outdoor?

well, its outdoors, because... its in the outdoor pond section.
And I guess I'll not get a pacu. Do you think I can replace it with a few silver dollars though?

Where are you located? Unless it stays warm enough year-round, then you're going to need to heat this pond, or move the fish indoors when it starts to get cold.

Just making sure you realize that...

I'd be using a heater. I haven't built the pond yet, and if I do finish it by November, then I'll try putting in guppies and see if they survive the winter before putting in any valuable fish. If they all die, then I'll just go with koi and goldfish.

Whoa there smart guy [Victor].

To answer your OP, yes those fish will work in a pond.

I would do a half dozen Pacus, up the GT number to 15, make the Gourami an even 20, and add a few more JD's. Wouldn't have to give smart-A answers if the questions were not there...If you are in a location where you are concerned with winter temps. just do the goldfish. Getting a pond built and cycled in two weeks isn't going to happen. Using guppies as canaries is a waste of time. You're going to keep 600 gals., probabaly above ground, heated to 77+ deg. for guppies. Seems like a lot of effort.
