I wonder how that relates to motion sickness in humans though.

It said they're using fish because it's easier to experiment on them than people, but they didn't really go into depth about how it will help them understand motion sickness in humans better.

It looks like they'll be studying the otoliths which, like our inner ear, control balance. They'll probably note which fish get woozy and see how their otoliths differ from ones that can handle the stress.

Then with laser beams and magic, they will fix our inner ears so we don't get sea sick.
