Fish Keeping - Hitting the Wall (Perverbial)

I've become completely uninspired with my tank. I've been looking for new fish to add to my existing 13 Clown Loaches and 5 Bala Sharks but I just can't seem to find anything that I would be comfortable adding, it's been well over a year since any new fish were introduced. I was thinking about getting some 6 Banded Distichodus but I've read that they can be aggressive with each other and with other fish. Next idea was to get a FlagTail but I don't like the slime coat sucking stories out there. Basically I need to find some fish that will exist peacefully with my Clown Loaches and Balas.

My tank water is also clowdy and I think I need to get an FX5 but I don't want to buck up the money for it right now.

Anyone have any stocking ideas that won't kill my exisiting fish?

I need to find a way out of this rut I'm in.

Albino tinfoil barbs or Kissing gouramis. Or a giant Gourami.

Peaceful cichlids would work. Keyholes, festivums, chocolates. Ect.

I'll look into the ones you suggested. Thanks for the suggestion. I stayed away from cichlids because I thought all or most were aggressive.

Tinfoil Barbs are my backup idea. I've had them before.

Mybe I'll look into a GG.

I've looked into Congo Tetras. I think I crossed them off becasue they were finn nippers.

I was feeling the same about my setup since I only had 2 kinds of fish.... so I just got some nice heros rotkeil. peaceful cichlids with some interesting coloration to them.
