I have a 8 RD female that was attacked the other night by her larger mate. When I woke up in the morning I noticed the female sitting on the bottom of the tank upright missing some scales on one side. I removed her and put her in a tank by herself. It seems like she can't float now though. If she isn't actually swimming she instantly drops to the bottom of the tank. She can still swim and grab food, but other than feeding time she really just sits on the bottom of the tank. Is this temporary or permanent?
