I'm posting this here because last time my post in the illness forum did not get answered.

How can I get rid of fish lice? The LFS's around me only carry the API gerneral medicine which claims it works with fish lice but it doesn't (ask me how I know), I complained to API but it went unanswered, way for them to stick behind their product.

Anyway, how can I get rid of these guys? I thought I did with mass water changes, salt and heat but they just came back.. there are 100's of little guys all over the bottom of the tank. At least I'm assuming it's fish lice since I know thats what I had before.. tiny white spots swimming and jumping around.

How can I get rid of these with stuff readily available?

Yea these look different then the fish lice I had which were clear / green.

These are definitely bright white.. I'd say thousands of them, all over the bottom of the tank, driftwood, etc.. Haven't seen any on my mala yet but he's under the driftwood as usual.

They are the white dots in this pic:

Thats not salt.. temp is at 82-84..

The white things move.. yes. They almost look like little termites or something..

Bump up the temp and add 1 tbl spoon of salt per 5 gallons of water...Are you looking to use meds? Or try no meds first?

I would be more inclined to think they were sand fleas as you would think lice would be at the surface edge or on a host.
