ok this is the final list of fish i want to get for my 38 gallon im getting in 2 weeks tell me if im doing anyhing wrong ty:

ok from my old 10 gallon im moving my 6 tiger barbs my chineese algae eater and my bamboo shrimp to my 38 gallon.
and the fish i want to add are 2-4 more tiger barbs(tiger barbs are my favorit tropical fish if you havent noticed already lol) and 2 clown lotches is it ok or am i over stalking?

I don't know much about bamboo shrimp, but that should be okay for a long-ish while. I probably wouldn't do more than 8 tigers, though. And, while I think that clown loaches grow somewhat slowly, they do get BIG eventually. Just keep good filtration on it.

i agree, the tiger barbs will be fine. the shrimp will hopefully max at 12cm so they will be fine as will the algae eater. I too would suggest that the clown loaches may be a too large choice if you are not planning to upgrade/move them out. They also prefer to be in small groups i.e. 3-4.

dont people usually recommend atleast a group of 7 on the clowns? Ive never kept them but thats what I seem the remember hearing.

Small groups of clowns fare worse off then large groups. I'd sell the CAE all together, perhaps have 9-10 barbs and a nice selection of plecs and or characins.

ok so this is what i got for my fishlist after i took your advise ill have 8 barbs 1 CAE 1 Bamboo shrimp and 6-8 tiger barbs
