Hey everyone
I am having a baby silver aro...id like to know whats the best way to measure a fish's length...or is it always a guess work ?
thanks in advance

The most accurate method would be to net the fish out and measure it, but that's really stressful for the fish.

I taped a ruler to the front of my tank and took a picture. If he swims along next to the front glass, it should give you a pretty acurate measurement.

try to measure it while you're in the process of feeding it, it will follow you. otherwise just try to eyeball it :)

I do the ruler and wait method. which means u sit infront of ur tank for hours and wait for the fish to swim perfectly next to the ruler. although sometimes i take something i know the size of and just compare to the fish in a bind.
