The only thing that I keep for long term is aquarium salt, any medication that I have to buy for fungus or parasites I will use until needed and will throw out when the fish is cured. I do not swap my fish on regular basis so all the disease out breaks are under control.

I tend not to keep these..... since they have an expiration. I just it from lfs on an as needed basis.

Agreed, to many expire. Dont use many in the first place.
A little off topic but has anyone ever put sutures in a fish, I did with a friend's lima cat but I wonder how it would work with a scaled fish.

I keep Vicks 44D with no ephedrine, Maracyn, and a jolly good blast of morphine in case I get stung by a vicious swordtail.

melafix is the only thing i keep on hand. but i get alot of fish given to me because they are hurt or to big for there tank. so keeping it on hand is a good idea for me but most of the time most people dont need to keep anything on hand.

as to guppys topic. you can put sutures in a scaled fish they just take a little longer to heal. but thats about the only difference. this is were the melafix comes in really handy.

Melafix and Pimafix.....all youll ever need.although it does expire after 2 years :(
