Fish move

I have a senegal bichir and a needlenose, both around 5''. Right now they're in a 10gal but I need to move them as soon as I can to my 30gal. I just set up the 30gal on Sunday and I'm doing everything I can to speed up the cycle with a dozen rosie reds and a some gravel and debris sponge from the 10gal. I know cycles take a long time, but when would I make the switch with my needle and senegal?

The 10gal is a friends tank and he's been bugging me to get it back to him. Any ideas?

Bigger tank for just a senegal and needle? One's at the top, the other's at the bottom so they should be fine spacewise don't you think? It's a nice long tank for them both....
