Have you tested your water?
No
If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes
If I do not change my water...

I have 6 giant ID sharks that are 18 plus inches. It's been 4 days since I got it. They are very active and moving around. Before they were in very shallow waters(a pond in my uncles place) I fed them there the day we moved it back to my place. Since I brought it back they have not been eating. With them I also brought 2 hi fin carbs that are not eating.

Welcome aboard
We need more information
1. Was your Uncle's pond cycled?
2. What are your water parameters of the aquarium the or pond you have the fish in now?
Also moving fish from pond to pond can cause them not to eat until settled again.

Yes it was cycled. As he have kept it for about 6 or more years. my current setup is not unfortunately fully cycled and there is no way that I can test water quality as there is no store in my island to buy these test kits... but the fishes seem pretty healthy. And active. But they get scared very easily (I have read this is there normal behaviour too).

Good news! they are starting to eat. but still very shy. i have to throw pallets from far away and see from a distance. im hoping theyll get more friendly as time goes

The pond was cycled, but not the new tank?
Did you bring along cycled media, or decor from the pond to help consume ammonia?
On your island, are there places that sell swimming pool paraphernalia?
They often sell water testing supplies.

Yeah I brought some of the filter media. Sadly there are no places that sell those in my island. The fishes look very healthy visually. I think they were in a shock. Thank you everyone that replied and helped!

This is the setup I have. I just wanted to share with you guys.
I know this is little too small for them and this is temporary till I finish building a larger pond out of concrete.
And all the fishes are now eating. I feed them high protein pellets
Really appreciate everyone who helped. ?

def not a good permanent set up. How big is your pond gone be ? cuz it should be more like a big pool instead of a pond. these id sharks grow massive in a short amount of time.
U can also try other things then pellets. I would keep up with massive waterchanges. Maybe even 3/4 times a week. Cuz that tank is not gone cycle at all with so many fish in so little water.

I was thinking about 900 to 1000 gallons . Not so deep but more surface for them to swim around.
Yeah I heard they get to 3 feet and more
