Ok everybody, here are the contestants for the $100 prize for the fish of the year contest! All of these fish have been raised by their owners for at least one year. :) This is round 1, top 5 voted entries will go to a second poll.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE--if you're on the mobile app, you should be able to open this thread in your browser by tapping this post and hitting "more" and then "open in browser" or something similar depending on your device and vote from there.
I tried to stick with common names for the fish for newer members (unless there isn't a well established common name).

Noo, F1's was for fish you have kept under a year.. And this is for those you've kept over a year.. How CAN you not see the difference :sly:

Ahh this whole thing will be biased, even with a public poll. People will just choose the species of fish they like best, there should be a actual criteria poeple rate the picture on. Like best colours, size, cleanlyness of the picture etc..

people need to brush up on their photography skills. I don't want to call out pics individually, but the large arowana behind all those other arowanas, and the black spotted eel behind the filter intake and what looks like a heater?!

I know it's not a photography contest, but it's hard to tell how good these fish look when they're all out of focus...
