Fish on!

I went fishing today and caught 2 walleye 1 bluegill and a shad. I decided to put them in my aquarium but I dont know what i should feed them. Should i buy minnows to feed them or should i buy pellets to feed them?

i started out with shrimp on my natives, cut up market shrimp really hooked them. then you can ween them on pellets. do you mind if i ask what size tank, and what size the fish are?

I kept a pumpkinseed pair for 2 weeks and I fed them worms. About 20 fish live under my dock

Herring such as Shad need a circular tank and fine substrate or they start loosing scales.

Yeah, Clupieds (shad) lose scales really really easily and are fast, constant swimmers.

That's why if you catch a Shad that you want to release you should grab it by the lower jaw only.
