So I was at the LFS today. I was talking with the owner about my stingrays and other fish. He sells his own brand of fish food at the store. It just pellets really. I never bought it from him before. He gave me
a small tub for free to try out on my stingrays.
What he does is the adds fish oil to the pellets, the pellets are wet b/c he coats them well in fresh fish oil.
He feed him red belly piranha tank with them and all went nuts for the stuff, I thought why now he is offering some free to me.
So I took them home and tried them out with my smaller rays. I've had them for months now and they never took pellets. All a sudden as soon I dropped them in the tank the rays took and eat them super fast!
I guy says that fish oil makes the pellets smell like fish.
I don't know if I will continue to use these pellets as part the their diet but I just thought I would let others know about this fish oil thing.

k is a good thing as you can start them off on oil+pallets and then they will go for just pallets, what type of fish oil does he uses, i wanna try it with fussy polys
