I have a peacock that has two white spots that almost look like a pimple just above its fish gill plate. Any help on what this might be or how to fix the problem is appreciated! Thanks!IMG_6807.jpgIMG_6808.jpg

Looks like lymphocystis. Usually self-limiting. Clean water and make sure the pbass is eating. Can spread to other fish. Update the thread as it goes.

Thanks! As of now he is eating. Should I quarantine him in a different tank so my other fish do not get it?

If it is lymphocystis there’s no cure so it will always have it and be able to pass it.
Think fish herpes.

All you can do is provide the best environment for it and the fishes own immune system will keep
It under control.
Most of the time it isn’t an issue, I’ve had fish with it before.

+1. Already exposed. Would watch.

Thanks everyone for the help! As of now it seems to have gone away. Also no signs of any of the other fish having is so far.
