Hey so I've been looking all over to find what minnows I caught the other day. I finally found a pic of it but it didn't have any info on it. Just the pic. It's the fish in the center with red anal fin

Also anyone recognize this plant? Same thing, can't find what it is.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks y'all

I just double checked and that is not it, as it doesn't have near enough color to be the one I caught.also not the tiny fin between the dorsal and the tail. And the very blunt face. It's got a very boxy mouth

Thanks for the try Tex!

I wish it were that easy! It has the black line thru the back half of it. The pectoral fins and anal fin are red with white tips. I've looked through 80 pages of the "Identify your North American fish" thread on here and still nothing so far lol.

Im in San Antonio. Caught two of them mixed in with a massive school of mixed fish of the same size. Juvenile long ear sunfish and large mouth bass along with who knows what else I'm going back to see what else I can pull out of there. They were in about 3 ft of water flowing pretty fast. Lot of shade and water was cool. Tiniest hook I had in my box and a lil chunk of worm:)

Omgsh it was literally the last post on the thread lol. Pg 129.

It's a Mexican tetra!

I'm new to fishing the area, but would be game to have a fishing partner sometime :) just lemme know.

Ohhh ok I thought we were talking the fish in the top left. But looks like you matched it up. What kind of set ups do you have? And for fish just these you caught recently??

I just started fishing. Usually I only fish Canada so my lures are all way too big lol. Gotta get some new tackle. Caught a few bass, 6 or 7 longear sunfish, a red ear sunfish, a few other sunfish/ bluegill species and that's about it. I'd like to go to calavaras sometime just haven't got around to it yet.
