I have recently been thinking about building an out door pond to house my albino channel catfish, and maybe add a few koi and a rare Thai carp called Bangana Behri. I have a few questions.
First off, I have heard that koi will suck the slime coat off of my channel cat, is this True, do I have a way to prevent it if it is true, and will Bangana Behri carp show the same, slime-sucking behavior?
Second, I have heard rumors that Bangana Behri are aggressive, are they too aggressive to keep with the above mentioned fish? please reply if you have information, I'm just trying to figure out what I can put in the pond, and how much it will cost to build, thank you for your time.

Hi,
Koi won't suck slime off your channel cat! Perhaps if they are really dying of starvation, but I don't expeckt you letting that happen :D
I don't know about bangana bleheri though ;)

thanks, I think if anything my fish are over fed, ha ha, but thanks for answering my question, I just saw the Bangana Behri on aquascape and the description said that it would do well in ponds, but there wasn't anything
else on it there, I just thought it looked cool.

I've had an albino channel catfish in my koi pond for three or four years now. I've never seen the koi bother him (or vice versa). He comes up and eats floating pellets right alongside the koi.
