fish poop less when?

I used to just feed pellets to my LMB and they poop alot...for the last 3 weeks or so i just feed them market shrimp and some feeder fish, and i haven't seen my fish poop in weeks now... and i don't see any poop at the bottom of my tank... and the water is a lot clearer and cleaner...
what does this mean??

It means he doesnt have to make room to store the feeders.

certain foods with make more/less "poop" than others, did the amount change as well?
