That depends on some variables...
Availability, how often is species available? Demand for species?
Where are the fish coming from, local, regional, out of region/international?
Price per unit & shipping cost?
Mortality rates per shipment and does retailer get credit/compensated for dead fish...
IME/IMO, EBJD's are very fragile when young and mortality is high.
That said...
That price does seem a little high, atleast for my area, average $25.-30..

same here. the lfs, a very well stocked and competitive priced lfs wants $40.00 and I don't even think they're an inch. But they'll sell.
That's what they run for around here......so i guess thats an average price.......if they're rare around your area I'd pick them up if you really wanted them...........
