Hello,

It seems like fish room construction never ends! But I am getting close to the point where I need to rum air pump piping around the perimeter of the room so I can access air from anywhere. My question for ya'll is what size PVC pip should I be using? i was originally going to use 3/4 inch, but now I am thinking 1 inch might be better.

If you guys have any other suggestions, I am all ears!

I ran 1" piping as the main manifolds off the pump. I T'd 1/2" piping off the mains to the tank racks and connected to airlines via the screw-in airvalves installed into the 1/2" piping.

I used 1" PVC pipe in a continuous loop around the ceiling and installed a tee fitting with hose to the pump. I also used 1" PVC to each rack shelf in a ladder like configuration and installed 6 screw in air valves per shelf.

I'm using the Jehmco LPH 60 linear piston air pump and currently running 20 tanks with at least 2 air lifts per tank and will add at least 6 to 12 more tanks eventually. All my tanks are shorter than 15" high.

Do you already have an air pump brand and model in mind?
