torquay, devon, !!ENGLAND!!
rite first of all il explain the set-up i have in my fish room 6 4ft 30g tanks, 3 2ft 15g tanks, 1 8ft 150g tank.
i was then going to use my 6ft 130g tank as a sump to run the water through. once i have put all these tanks together there will be just over 500g.
now im going to get these fish in my fish room:
Victorians
neochromis omnicaeralius kuene is.(already have)
neochromis furocaudalis,
pundamelia sp"crimson tide",
pundamelia nyererei ruti is.

malawi's
copadichromis azures,
scienochromis fryeri "ob"
metriaclima callainos(already have)

tanganyikans
tropheus moorii moliro
tropheus duboisi (orange or white banded)
cyahtopharynx furcifer
enatiopus melanogenys
cyprichromis leptosoma "blue tail"

rite and this was my idea for stocking the 4fts:
  1. enatiopus melanogenys and cyp's
  2. tropheus moorii moliro
  3. tropheus duboisi
  4. neochromis rufocaudalis, pundamelia nyererei and callainos(only 4)
  5. copadichromis azures, neochromis omni(only a pair) and pundamelia crimson tide
  6. babies
  7. for the 8f i thought the furcifers and maybe the fryeri or the most peaceful out of the vics and malawi
  8. then the 2fts i would use for the holding females, i also have 2 breeding traps available and can get more for 3 pound ea.
what did everybody think of the list any mods people would make.

thanks matt

I would never put Tropheus in a 30 gallon unless it was to grow them out. Also a 4ft is going to be WAY to small for any Enatiopus species. I also dont know that I would mix any malawi or vic fish with furcifer because they are more peaceful featherfins. If you want a featherfin that is more aggressive look towards the ventralis.

Also I am nor familer with the Blue tail cyp, check its variant and make sure it is not a jumbo. The smaller leptosoma would do so-so in a 30 gallon but they really like the room to swim. I dont know that I would do cyps in smaller than a 55 gallon.

I am a little curious about a 4' 30 gallon tank? I might have to do a little tank shopping. lol

I would put malawi mbuna with victorian. They will get beat up, especially with callinos.

I recommend species only tanks for victorian cichlids. 50/50 shot whether mixing will work IMO

A 30G is probably not enough space for a solid group of trophs.
