Hey all I'm currently in the process of renovation my shed to put the large amount of fish tanks i'm using for breeding in "my" room in the house out in the shed. I'll instead be putting up a 250 i recently acquired for rays and maybe a few arrows. I currently have a 180, 2 75's and 2 40b's; as you can see its pretty cramped in here and the SO has been complaining its too crowded and messy (https://i.imgur.com/rd5IDI9.jpg).

I took a level out there and needless to say its not looking too good. The oringal builders of the shed just set concrete blocks and built it and over time some of the blocks have sunk pretty far into the ground. I have to jack up the back of the shed about 3 inches on the right and about 6 on the left. The floor also only has joists made of 2x4 treated and spaced a whopping 2ft apart (https://i.imgur.com/dqSfNuI.jpg) (pure genius.) So I'll need to also add more of those.

I added 2 concrete footings on either side of the shed (on the left https://i.imgur.com/o4hIyyg.jpg) (on the right https://i.imgur.com/pxAa3rd.jpg). and also 2 in the middle (https://i.imgur.com/uYCHD73.jpg https://i.imgur.com/b5ePAJJ.jpg). These will help with the weight and allow me to jack up the shed to a level field.

I had orginally wanted to have my 180 on the right side of the shed (https://i.imgur.com/phIfzsy.jpg) and 4 40bs on the left side (https://i.imgur.com/1yslbkY.jpg). But since then I have decided as all MFKs should that this is not nearly enough tanks. Now i will be putting my 180 on the right on the floor and building a stand to hold a 125 i have had in storage for some time now to go over top of it. Also instead of 4 40s i will have 3 rows of 3 40s so a total of 9 40s on the left for 360 gallons of water and 180 and a 125 on the right for 305 gallons. ill also be trying to find space for a 150 deep you can see in some of the picutres in the back of the shed although that is not currently in the plans for now ill build the shed to suit.

So with all this extra weight ill need more footings for more support which i will add this week/weekend and more floor joists just to be sure.

I thought about setting up a shed as a fishroom as well since my garage wouldn't work out great but how are you running hot and cold water to there?

About a year ago i bought a 125 gal storage container for some ro/di water. Well I never got around to setting it up but I still have the container luckily for me I also need to build a lean to on the back of my shed to store my riding lawnmower. So I'm just gonna out the 125 container on top of that and plumb so piping into the shed for water and fill the 125 up with a long hose from the house. It'll be pretty much 80 ir so degrees in the summer and if it gets to cold in the winter ill just put a heater in it to stop from freezing.

Make sure the floor of the shed and its foundation can hold all that weight.
250 gallons of water is 2000 pounds.. I don't think 2 x 4 joists can support that longterm.
My house floor is 2 x 10, and I had to reinforce it to hold a 300 gallon tank.
The floor might be ok on the orginal fill, but over time , it will sag due to weight and you might have a catastrophe..

Sorry for the long update i had hoped to have this finished last weekend but work and of course unforseen problems.

ive added more 2x4s to the floor so instead of every 2 ft like it was orginally built its every one foot and im adding 4x4 posts under where the tanks are going. and added 3 more footings on each side so hold the large weight load. (https://i.imgur.com/Ltinutc.jpg) (https://imgur.com/kuBZfO4)

My problem now is that when i was jacking up the left side the whole shed slid about 4 or so inches to the right which made me have to redo all of the posts i had already had in the ground. So that was a pain in the ass. And now trying to level it out messes with the front side of the shed because i have to jack it up so much, so now i need to add some footings to the front just so it doesn't bow like crazy. So hopefully ill have the front done and can start leveling the floor out again on tuesday.

Damn its been a month since my last update wow ****. Well i had a tree fall down in my yard i had to clear and ive been pretty busy at work and havent had much time to post but ive fixed up the floor as seen here (https://i.imgur.com/d0mMnhD.jpg) and here (https://i.imgur.com/wTmdEvT.jpg). I added 4x4s to the floor on the side where im gonna have 2 large grow out tanks where i plan on having the legs for them so nothing falls through the plywood.
