Yesterday I bought an ornate bichir at about 10 inches. In my tank I have 75 Gallon with juv Florida gar, juv oscar, juv firemouth, Bristlenose pleco, armored bichir, ornate bichir, senegal bichir, synodontis ocellifer. Bit overstocked I think but it works for me. I may decide to sell the oscar in the future but for now its awesome. And yes I am going to get a bigger tank. So anyways...back to the story! I have 2 cory cats I saved from my girlfriends tank (one small peppered and a bronze). I came home from work and noticed that they weren't out frolicking about like they usually are. I dropped some shrimp pellets in and out they came but they looked more beat up than i remember. I figured they must've got in a fight with the gar or bichir. Hour or so later i was watching my patriots beat the dolphins (YAAAAA!) and i happened to look in the tank and the ornate was swimmin around with the bronze in his yap! I rushed over and i mustve startled the ornate cause he spit the cory out. I scooped the corys out and now they live with my feeders in a separate tank. Thats my fish rescue story. TELL YOURS! P.S.
