Fish scales problem. help.

My H. Carpintis Vontehillo has a scale that looks to be coming of. I usually leave it alone but this piece has been hanging for about 2 weeks now and it looks like there's a growth of some kind in it. It looks fuzzy. sort of like the fuzz that grows on old food. Here's a lil video of it. I'm not sure if you can see it clearly, but your can def see the buldge.

that is some kind of parasite ... get some parasite clear from jungle that should take care of it...

so should I not pick the scale off? If I do medicate for parasites, is it ok to do so with others in the tank? I don't have a quarantine tank.

Picking it off may be a temporary fish if it is a parasite. If it is a parasite, there are certainly more in the tank. Treat your tank appropriately. Prazipro is great for external parasites.
