Fish scratching ?

My fish are scratching. There is no sign of ich. PraziPro did not seem to help ? What should I try ? African Cichlid tank

How are your water parameters?

Well I just did a big water change. There was no Ammonia but Nitrate was 10ppm or 20ppm Did not test for Nitrite. Thought I might try ParaGuard Seachem. What do you think ? New fish were added recently.

I personally would crank the heat up and dose the aquarium with salt instead of adding meds.

What temp. and how much salt ? I see Africans Cichlids scratching all the time in pet shops. I always wanted to know why and whats the cure ? Thanks for your help.

Yes some Cichlids will do that as a territorial display. Not all the Cichlids should be flashing. Set temp at about 83° and dose 1tsp to every five gallons.
