I want to stock this new 220 gallon tank as a display tank in my living room. I can buy other fish, use the Fish I have available or simply start from scratch. Currently have the below fish to pull from in several tanks, water ph is 7.4, the new tank is well filtered and fully cycled. I want something that is fun to watch and won’t get boring.

2 oscars 8 inch
1 electric blue jack Dempsey 1.5 inch
1 juvenile electric pink Dempsey
2 green terror 3-4 inch
1 common pleco 8 inch
1 sailfin blue eyed pleco 4 inch
1 red spotted “”severum 4 inch
4 juvenile turquoise spotted severum
1 Cuban cichlid 3 inch
8 loach 2 inch
5 silver dollar 3 inch
4 Rainbow Cichlid 3 inch
1 silver aro 8 inch not moving him from 300
1 electric blue Acara 3 inch

I have had good success with my semi-aggressive cichlid pair setup in my 140 gallon tank. I have a pair of Firemouths, Blue Acaras, T-Bar cichlids and Rainbow cichlids. This setup is very fun and does not get boring, there is always somebody spawning and it is interesting to see interactions between different species. I have had 3 pairs spawning simultaneously without any big aggression problems.

Maybe a similar setup in a slightly larger scale could work in your tank? I think your tank could house 2-3 pairs of larger semi-aggressive cichlids (Jack Dempseys, Green Terrors, Salvinis) or up to 5 pairs of similar species that I have. I know these multiple pair setups are quite risky and I'm not a cichlid expert by any means, but it has worked in my tank.
