so u was thinking about making a strictly preditory tank. I was thinking about an ornate bichir, needle nose gar, black ghost knife, and an electric catfish which i am ify on cause i dont want electricuted fish. I was also thinking about a wolffish a tank with JUST a wolffish. BUT i cannot find a red wolffish anywhere. So if u have any ideas on good preditory setups plz reply.

no worries iam only 14 but in a few months iam getting a 55g currently have 2 29gs. Ik how big they all get the catfish ik gets about 2 meters long but everyone who has owned one says they have only had about a 1' cat

im 15 haha.but if i was u i would go way bigger like a 150 gallon or more becuase all of the fish that u want get pretty big..ive got an ornate bichir and a endli bichir that are already to big for their tanks so im going to a 125 gallon...i now money is hard to get but makes fish happy..the bgk would be fine becuase i have one and its so happy and an ornate would last about maybe a year or so in a 55 gallon or maybe even less

really? didnt know they grew that fast. I can get money but my family in general is poor and we dont have room for a 125. So 55 is the best i can pull off. any combos of fish anyone can throw my way? And will a petco order fish on request?

ya i now im only 15 lol....umm u could do different kind of cichlids, maybe could pull off a baby ornate for a while and them trade it when it gets bigger your choice.just do some research on fish that are aggressive and could be in a 55 gallon.there are many aggresive fish out there that could go in a 55 gallon...researching is the key:)

i don't wanna dismay you but i think with that tank size and that stocklist you will be overstocked.

thats y I'm askin for ideas if my local stores didn't have THE MOST COMMON fish know to man I could get a red wolffish

ideas?

I have had a tank with an ornate bichir, & needlenose, they worked out great. Needlenose is still one of my favorite predators. I'm assuming you mean a needlefish not an actual gar.

All those fish get pretty big, but you will be fine for a while. Just don't plan on keeping them if you can't upgrade.

Ideas: Datnoids, smaller SA cichlids
