does anyone know if there are any fish documentary's out there? like on specific kinds of fish? i remember seen one on animal planet acouple of years ago about the arowana, and i just got done watching a short segement on the a. gigas on the jeff corwin experiment. but yeah, any other fish shows out there?

I watched a show on National Geographic called "Diamond in the Rift"(I think?).
It was all about the cichla in Africa's Great Rift Lake and how evoloution made them what they are. Very cool.

national geographic and the discovery channel have underwater documentaries every so often (also check out nova) most of them are more focused on specific habitats or research expeditions like shark hunting, or deep sea hydrothermal vents. there was one specifically about the mimic octopus, many about giant squid one of the best overall series i have seen is David Attenborough's Blue Planet. it's a 10 part series dy the discovery channel it covers the whole gammit of aquatic habitats. but i haven't seen too many just about one specific species of fish like red tail cats or neons or polyiptereus

I meant cichlids not cichla. sorry. But I did see the one about the mimic octopus that you spoke of Tom. That was awsome. The best octpus footage I've ever seen.

"Jewels of the Rift"

There is also "Amazon Abyss" and countless shark, coelacanth and deep water fish documentaries. I have also seen a lot of documentaries about spawning salmon. Lets not forget "Blue Planet".

Here is one about sturgeon.
