I purchased (5) 3" Mpimbwe Frontosas and (2) Cyprichromis Leptosoma (they are also with a 5" Syn. cat) for my 55 gallon tank until they get bigger and I can move them all into a 125. They have only been in the tank for about a day but even after properly cycling the tank, all of my fish except the syn. cat (the fronts and leptosomas) continue to stay at one end of the tank. I acclimated them properly and ever since I put them in they stick to the far left side of the tank. I am running two filters, an Aqueon 55 on the left side and a Aqua Clear 110 on the right. I do have an air stone in the middle of the tank and the heater is on the right side of the tank (the end that the fish are not going over to). Are they still just getting use to their surroundings and should I be patient or is there another possible reason for them not investigating the other 2/3's of the tank? My water parameters are great. I have black gravel substrate and a piece of driftwood surrounded by 3 Texas Holey Rocks. Could it be an issue of current from the filters or air stone? It doesn't seem too strong...Any input would be greatly appreciated!
