hi (keyboard not working good)

so iam thinking about buying 48x15x12 inches with my birthday money is 10 days ,so i thinking about intresting fish, so i thought about 2 dats and com pleco and elephant nose fish. what do you think

then when i get a job i am thinking about buying a bigger tank , 5ft x 2.5ft x 2ft tank wiht one scobina, servums, fire eel,geo ,bolt catfish and asain arowana what do you think. thanks

Just make sure to get a larger tank and probably sooner than you would think. I have a friend with a Fire eel and he couldn't believe how fast it grew. The Fire eel alone can be well over 2 feet in length. There is a nice video on youtube of a 30" Fire eel

Hi mate, id leave out the common pleco as it will outgorw the tank and they produce so much waste, They certainly dont help with water quality. Id also go for either 1 or 3 dats as a start as in pairs one will tend to dominate the other and out it off feeding. Maybe go for 1 datnoid, 2 senegalus bichirs, and your elephant nose? Just enuse that the elephant nose can get to food and has a hiding place.

Also i wouldnt reccomend a bolt cat for your future tank, they get large and are very active and in a tank of that size i imagine it damaging itself. Also i would have thought it maybe too rough for the tankmates and stress them especially the ray.

thanks mate , i will get 3 dats and some senegalus bichirs and maybe a smaller pleco or a syno cat.

i won't get the bolt cat i did not know if i should get one because they only grow a 1ft long but i did not know how activice they are and they look really nice. i will go for a different cat or might not get a cat. thanks again.

Ive always thought that bolt catfish get to around 18-24" must be thinking about different species.
