I asked them to, they are feeding it guppies but they threw in a pellet and it took it and spit it out. But the faxt that he grabbed it is what I would be looking for. And does the red and black color fade over time?

That's good Aro is eating Try to offer other foods such as Hikari Carnivore food sticks once you get it, I'm personally not a fan of live feeder fish. The colors may fade with age.
