I thought I’d share a few pictures I took at two stores I went to yesterday.

The first store was the one that mostly has fish surrenders and trade ins. This was the store I brought my two baby gts to.
This pleco is just being boarded for the owners. He had to be around 16” or so.

And two big oscars. Poor guys both have hith really bad:( both over a foot long.

And these are from the store I prefer to by my fish from. He carries so many amazing fish. I just took a couple pictures of fish that caught my eye.
These electric blue rams really sparkled in person. I’d like to have a ram tank, so these guys maybe on my “future” list.

And these fronts looked so adorable. Also a fish I’d like to keep someday. I can’t remember what those other fish are.

And I saved the best for last:) If I had the space I would have loved to have this guy! Such a beautiful white saum male. Gosh I love him. Lol I so badly wanted to lie to myself and say it was a female to justify bringing him home. Haha This is the first time I’ve seen any white saums for sale in person. 91861BA8-A0EF-49DB-9FE5-A56B09D46F93.png

Hope you all enjoy:)

Yes, it is very sad to see them like this. I’m sure it makes it that much harder to find them a home too.
Its insane to think just how bad the husbandry must be to get an O to that state. My lutino has to be around 8 yrs old or so now, and there have been times over the years where due to whatever circumstances, she has gone a month or more without clean water. And i have never had any stages of hith. It takes some severe negligence to have a fish end up like that. Sorry about the thread derail. Just thinking aloud. On a more on topic note, i came across a fish store a couple states over a couple weeks ago that had burundi fronts at about an inch for 5$ each. Still kicking myself in the butt for not scooping them up while i was there. The frontosa pic reminded me of it

Is this anywhere near spokane? I am playing around with a GT tank and if I could pick that guy up would defiantly go for it. If he isn't near spokane then I will be going with angel tank (most likely)

But I love GTs

Nope. Half the country away from there.
I guess there was an even more impressive male that sold before I got there too. Because I was told they had three white saums, but only had the two when I arrived 15mins after they opened! I was talking with the owner and he was saying how the guy that bought him didn’t want him, but couldn’t leave without him either. Lol
Gts are my favorite cichlid by far. Love these guys.

thanks for the pictures. The Oscars look like they have seen better days.

Yep gts are awesome. Outta all the cichlids ive ever had gts are the most interactive and they recognize there feeder i often put my hand in with one of mine and we will punch on.. He will war dance in a circle around my hand biting me constantly but treats my hand like another male gets head shakes goin and all its wicked.. ill grab him by the nuchal hump and ddt him he loves it.. will try remember to do this at my lfs.
