Fish stores between Mass and Central Upstate NY (Oswego) ??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Depends what kind of fish your looking for but here are a few I like going to, Uncle Neds Fish Factory, this place is in millis mass and has the best cichlid selection I've ever seen also has a bunch of other types of fish also probably the healthiest fish I've seen I've been to this store probably around 50 times and haven't seen any dead fish I live like 5 min away, another place I go to once in a while is, tropic isle in framingham mass, they have a pretty decent freshwater selection and probably the best selection of saltwater livestock I've ever seen for a fish store you will see what I mean if you go but they sell any saltwater fish you can think of sharks, rays, platinum clowns,Picasso clowns, snowflake clowns, puffers, triggers, tangs, and a whole lot more but let me know if you stop by and tell me what you think

I know those two stores - and visit them from time to time. But thanks though! (PS, for anyone who wants to know, both of these stores are usually VERY DIRTY - not the tanks, but the stores.) Both have unhappy/unfriendly employees/owners too. But, the upside is, they both do have good variety and healthy fish.

Any other stores between Mass and Upstate NY ?

Looking for oddballs, freshwater - but then again, even the "usual" places often have something interesting, so I won't rule anything out.

I agree they are both dirty but I haven't had a problem with the people that work at either of the places except neds, some of the staff is clueless about fish it annoys me that everytime i ask a question they have to go get ned or his brother to answer it, another decent place is oceans of pets, in the back of the store they have a full grown jardini Arowana nfs, but still cool to see and most of there fish are healthy and they get new stuff every week so you never now what there going to have this place is in woonsocket Rhode island another place in Rhode island is super sonic pets there's one in Johnston and another in north smithfield both have a good selection of fish but I don't go there often because there about an hour away used to be pets pets pets in north smithfield and that was the best fish store I've ever been in until they closed down because of animal abuse charges but if you read the case you can clearly tell it wasn't there fault but if you got the chance to go there before they closed some of the freshwater fish they had were really really cool always had a tank full of baby motoro rays, baby piranhas, arrowana, gars pretty much any fish you could think of they probably sold but yeah I hope these help.
