Fish tail regrowth and what to expect

So I know this is a hit or miss but since there aren't pictures to really compare I want to see what I can expect.

So I got a Red Bay Snook. Not really sure what attacked it since the tank is just bottom feeders but he got attacked. Fins practically gone. But there looks like almost maybe like a little bit not really noticeable because at first the tail looked uneven like some square edges so i thought maybe some fin left. The tail though on the flesh looks like it might have been grabbed. Does't like like any really damage but discolored from the rest like a little pale. I put in a 10g QT and water change every second day. Well it seems the tail is square no infection but the tail is still pale and not any regrowth and its been a week.

Can I expect a full regrowth or no? IT may be hard to get pics its the camera is away.. only have my phone thanks

Keep the water as clean as possibile with daly water changes. Watch for any signs of infection or fungus. Depending on the the extent of damage, (yes I can see the picture) it may grow back normally in a couple of months. It hard to say exactly.

Agree, try adding salt not the iodize one about 2 tbsp and repeat it every WC (water change). Hope the fish will recover.

Okay thats what ive been doing and ill get some salt! Thanks! He is acting normal has a crazy appetite poop is looking good and he's moving around. So you say months so should i keep him in the 10g QT the whole time or attempt to put pack in his other tank?

Well just an update tail growth is looking great! Sorry for all the dirt I had to move his log to get a pick ! And when they say pics doesnt do him justice for some reason this ones the opposite the tank is extremely yellow tinted and all o see is yellow but the camera some how got a clearer pic than what my eyes see!!

Example I can't see any orange tinge to the snook like in the pic all I see is yellow when looking at the tank!

it will grow back, maybe not as pretty but it does! My guy is still growing his tail back here is his progress
