Has anyone here ever had a fish tank fall through the floor? Bud8Fan brought this up. I know alot of us have our concerns about this. I, like so many of you have heard of this happening, but do not know anyone this has happened to.

No, I haven't personally heard of that.

It would be possible, but I think when people get tanks they're usually worried about their flooring, so if there's any question they won't set them up or will brace them.

My cousin himself fell through the 2nd floor of my grandmothers house though. He stepped onto a weak spot on the floor and it just gave, so I have no doubt it could happen with a fish tank, lol.

We all know that it can happen, but did it happen to anyone here, or has anyone here actually seen it happen. If so, what were the circumstances. How big was the tank, where was it placed, how old was the building, were the floors rotted. Any information about how or why it happened.

I looked in lessons learned, and found nothing. But there is a chance I missed something. Anyone?

I had a waterbed break down the stucture of a townhouse once but not a tank. Most of the new apts have concrete floors. I have 5 tanks in the livingroom.

My Hubby says my entire fishroom is gonna wind up in the basement one day! I've got floor jacks under the 90 & 125.

OK, I found the thread, Pressboard isn't good for much. What size tank was it? Is it bad that I am having second thoughts?
