My fish tank have i think left over salt residue on it, i really dont know what it is. Do anyone have any idea, are know any thing that can get this off my tank, it a help me alot.

A razor blade or 1000grit sand paper.....wait, is it glass or acrylic?

i dont really kno. i bought if off someone and they said it was salt but i cant seem to get it off, i can take some pictures but ion kno if it a show up

the same thing happened to me. I used to keep a juvi iguana in my 75 gallon. They discharge salt from their nostrils and it sprays all over the sides of the glass. After time passes it becomes impossible to get off. I tried hard chemical cleaners like CLR and nothing worked. Eventually I gave up and just filled the tank with water and threw some fish in. I don't think the "salt" ever really went away but when the tank is filled you can hardly see it at all. I don't notice it at all anymore and it doesn't bother the fish

clean with vinegar and anything with a hard flat surface like a credit card or possibly a razor/scraper that will kill all the salt water bacteria where you going to set it up as a fresh water or just cleaning it out?

I've had the same issue as well with salt stains before. But I got fed up and just sold the tank.........
