Fish tank/Reptile habitat help

hey i have a 180 g and i was interested in doing a paludorium but i want alot of water space so i decided to make a cage on top of my 180 g and and it would be my 180 g tank top with egg crate on on the wall sides and i would put alot of trees and vines its hard to explain but here is a pic of what im talking about what could i house in this open enclosure i was thinking of putiing 2 chameleons because i dont want an animal running wild in my room what do u think and help me desighn this:headbang2
also in the 2nd pic i will selll my canopy and is it okay if there is no bottom substrate for the chameleon since its going right on top of my 180 g thanks

idk if a chameleon would be a good choice if there is only going to be water under him. they cant swim. would be a great idea for a snake or water dragon. even a basalisk. used to have one its an awsome sight to see it run on water. good luck catchin that thing if it gets out though haha
 
Sounds cool, but youre not putting a bottom to the chameleon part? If so wouldnt all of the chameleons waste fall into the tank? Or the chameleon could fall in.
 
oh my bad when i say no bottom i mean no substrate because the bottom is the top of my tank , i have an acrylic tank and you know how they have the built in top and stuff so no he cant fall in the water but i forgot about there poop so i will make a mesh stand like this (sorry im still brainstorming things ) that will catch the pop that i can clean ..

ps : grey part is the tank lid so he still cant fall in the water then the black things on laegs is like a mesh stand that i cant pick up and clean the poop off of

hers how it looks with the back wall with fake plant ( the green are), then the black part cacthes the poop then the grey part is my tank lids how does that look
