When I kept Discus they would only come out of hiding when the light was on. Well, I just bought 14 blue Cobalts and their afraid of the dark as well!!

my fish seem attracted to light, if my tank light isn't on they try and swim towards my computer screen or cell phone...if the lights on they act normal
haha my oscars are scared of the dark! they splash the water and freak out when i turn off the lights sometimes
My knife fish is afraid of the light. He will not come out even though he is the biggest fish in the tank.
On a side note, my male cobra will attack his shadow and always hisses when I flip the lights on or off.
My flower horn is scared of the dark, lol. Sometimes I hear splashing at night. Maybe I need a night light for him.
