I was thinking how cool a tank would be if it only had fish that used electric sensing.

Do keep in mind that they will jam each other's frequencies and should never be housed together.....

morymids

Blind Knifefish (I think this family includes Electric Eels and Gymnotus Knifefish) regular Knifefish (NOT Clowns) Electric Catfish, and Mormyraids like Malawai Dolphins, Elephantnoses and whatnot.

Actually, that's partially true. Some Electric fish like Knifefish and some Mormyraids are aggressive towards eachother.

this is false.:naughty:

Please don't confuse the Electric Catfish with the low signal/sensing of the Knifefish and Elephant Fish species. The Electric Cat will use its voltage to kill other fish. It also packs a punch if you touch it by accident.

I had to get rid of mine after it put my 10" Johanna Pike into temporary paralysis. The cat was about four inches.
