I'm in the process of starting up a hap and peacock tank, I've done a lot of research and I already have some fish in there but I've heard things like certain fish won't color up if other fish are present and this aulonocara species is to aggressive for this species and so on. I'm curious if my stocking will work.
in the tank I already have,

dragon blood (firefish)

deep water hap

blue alhi

fireline mloto

borleyi

Placidochromis Jalo Reef

german red

and I want to add,

Placidochromis sp. ''Phenochilus Tanzania''
Hap. Pheno

Taiwan Reef Cichlid

Aulonocara sp. stuartgranti "Maleri"
Sunshine Peacock Cichlid

Astatotilapia calliptera "Zambezi"

and maybe a Lethrinops Red Cap "Itungi"
Red Cap Lethrinops

I know some of these fish get pretty large I do have a 125 that I'm setting up within the month

From my experience, the dragonblood will dominate all your peacocks causing the other peacocks to not color up. Blue ahli will be the Dominate one in your tank and most aggressive one. With the calliptera it's a hit or miss thing with aggression. Is this goon to be an all male show tank or planning to breed because it'll make a big difference in my experience.

yeah its going to be an all male tank and my german red dominates my dragon blood, my alhi is the dominant although he's not very aggressive the 3 of them are adults and the other four I have in the tank at the moment are 2-3 inch juveniles and theres no aggression towards them

The lethrinops and mloto probably keep their colors muted. My red cap stayed silver in my all male tank.

I'm purchasing as many as I can as juvies so they grow up together and hopefully be comfortable enough to color up. and I've heard the red caps are a pretty timid species so I'll be crossing that guy off the list.
