Fish with a little black anus

My New flowerhorn has a little bit of black stringy thing on his anus. He eats normally and swims normally to ammonia and nitrite are 0 and nitrate are like 10.
I just got him 3 days ago is something wrong?

Left my camera at work will have pics tomorrow.
 
ya but its little my 9 inch other flowerhorn has barley any and this 1 is 11 inches. ( the man part shaped things if you know what i mean is stringy ( is that the vent right because the man part shaped object is the only part that has it)).
 
So ya theres a little black string on my flowerhorn vent hes 11 inch and my other 9 inch flowerhorn has a bit to.
 
A string?! Sounds like a parasite of some sort. Pictures would really help, but you can go ahead and add salt to your tank.
 
the string is like 1 quarter of an inch 1/4 its really small its hard to notice if your like not looking straight but if you look carfully you cant see it.

He eats normal and is active.


And there is salt already in the tank like 5 ml per 10 gallons

I've seen flowerhorn like that, I'm pretty positive based on your description that it is normal. Post up a picture and we'll go from there, doesn't seem like its a big issue...nothing to worry about. :)
