Fish with fast growth rate

what is a fish that has a fast growth rate and stays under 24". i know that is partially true with some cichla but is there any others?

Fahaka puffer, they will grow to 12" pretty quickly and then slow down...

Most large cichlids fit the criterion. Midevils, jags, oscars, etc.

almost all small fish meet that criteria. I don't know of any 2" fish that doesn't reach full size within a year and stay under 24".

A 2" Arapaima gigas will take many years to reach its full size, and will get much larger than 24".

I mostly keep cichlids and catfish. Out of the fish that I've kept the ones I've had the best growth rate with are the Synspillum, Midevil, Saxatilis pike, and a Brown Bullhead catfish. I also think it's worth saying that although species can set the standard, feeding and water quality are also large factors in growth.

My oscars grow really fast! Got one 2 months ago at 2" and he's now pushing 5"
