OK, I have a small female motoro, 6" disk. I have a few german rams in there with her. One of the rams broke out in ick and I was told not to put ick meds in there with the ray. Heat and salt is what i was told but how much salt is too much? I'd obviously rather save the ray but I like the rams as well, I don't have another tank to put the ram in to treat it. What do I do?

add 1-2 tsp of salt per gallon to treat the ich. Also raise the temp to around 84
1 table spoon to 5gals of water. Raise the temp as stated as above. I have never seen a ray with ich.

seachems para guard and call it a day....

Thanks for your responses. They said a ray won't get ick but I just wasn't sure if she could catch something from the ick on the other fish. What about water changes? Will this help with the problem?

I need some serious help guys!! She wouldn't eat this morning, i tried gettin her to move, she did but got really pissy, now she's been in the same spot for a few hours and hasn't moved at all, she's breathing but that's about it! I can't tell if there's a slight film over her eyes or if it's just from being covered in sand. I tested the water, everything was 0, nitrates were 10ppm and ph was 7.5. Please help, some response please!! Or even call my damn cell, lol, I don't want to lose her 219-406-4018...Thanks -eddie-

do a couple large water changes.... add some salt... then take the sick fish out clean them up in a Q tank then move on to salting the hell out of your main tank.... seachems paraguard is also fine to use in a tank with rays...

paraguard wont effect scaleless fish?

i have used seachems paraguard on all types of cat fish and loaches with ich... cured a pretty bad case of ich on clownloaches in 3 days(ill have to look up the dose i used) also used this many time for minor problems with rays and in tanks with rays never a problem...
