Ok so I woke up this morning and my emp angel had white salt sized spots all over it, one eye is glazed over and one side of its body seems to be fading...I'm pretty sure it is Ick and right now I have it in a 10 gallon Q.T. with some meds in the tank. Any other suggestions would be great.

I have heard to do freshwater dips but i would like someone to explain that to me before I guess what that means. Do you just get the fish in a net and dip him in freshwater for about a minute and then put him back in the Q.T? Then how long do I wait to repeat?

Any help would be great!

I think your plan is good. If you want to dip, the water temp and pH of the freshwater should be close to that of the saltwater, or you risk additional stress.

Hmm i'm watching him and he really doesn't look like hes going to make it, he keeps not swimming and lying there for a few and then swims a little again

another question...

the poor guy seems real stressed out and seems like he has almost no energy, so my question is is this.

Should I still dip him or just wait til he seems to have more energy (if that happens), because I don't want to stress him out more than he already is.

has he ate in the amount of time in the QT? if he is you may still have a chance with him. what meds are you using, what the specific gravity of the QT? lower salinity will help but will also stress and if your using a straight copper med, then that may be too strong for him.

SG= 1.021

Current product using= http://www.aq-products.com/APpro/quickcure.htm

This is what was recommended to me a while back by a LFS.

Note: after two seperate FW dips he appears to be losing the white spots but his color is still faded, his eye is still glazed over and he wont eat...doesn't look good, or is this normal still?

if your using a light on the QT shut it off. no need for them. his color fading is a sign of stress and normaly reducing the light and feeding daily will help him stay comfortable. sometimes i like to use a stress coat at this time to to help him with his slime coat. that will also help him defend from a secondary infection. most sick fish that i have had, have gone 3-4 days without eating and then all of the sudden destroying the food as it is added. keep feeding very small amounts and hopefully this will reverse itself.

quick cure is a good med. most LFS use it when they get fish shipment in to prevent any infections. sometimes not a good idea unless the fish is actually sick.
