Fish with momentary lapse in judgment?

I reported a couple days ago how my baby JD 1.5" was chasing everyone one away from the cave structure. The other day he lost his mind and started to charge my Texas, then he just stop did a 180 and hid. A bout 3 weeks ago we lost a fish that I bought the same time I bought the JD, in all likely hood it was the Texas who ate him.

Any one else have a fish that thinks about or tries to take on someone 3 times his size?

Not sure if this story is post worth but it made me chuckle.

Yeh I had a salvini couple who tried to claim the left hand 1/3 of a 230g when they laid eggs on the glass. Was funny to watch the male getting all tough with fish 2-4 times his size. Well funny until I came in on monday and one of the other fish most probably a female jag took it personal and rammed the snot outta it.

I took the female and all the recently hatched fry and moved them to a 15g and left the male in there, funny to see how he is totally a wussy now.
