My fish have been acting strange now for a few weeks. They have been looking color and scales flakeing off. Thought it was ich, gave them mess, and they seem to have gotten better.

Now it's back and with red bumps and spots along with flakeing.

Please help.

Re treat for ich. ifs it not it may be
Lymphocystis (Cauliflower Disease)
Symptoms –
Cauliflower like growths on the skin and fins. It usually starts as a few small white cysts, which grow over time.
Treatments –
No known effect treatments. Do water changes frequently to reduce ammonia and nitrites will help fish battle this disease.

It does look like white sprouts on the fish faces. Lost my Koi last night after second bact treatment. My blood parrot looks bad. Here is a new pic.

That's not lymphocystis. It looks more like Oodinium (velvet disease) to me. Here's a pic. If "mess" = medicine, what did you give them?

Have you added any salt to the tank yet? If not, I would definitely start there.

Added salt today, did a water changed and cleaned my filters. I used some meds that cover a wide range of disease. They came in white packets and went in as a powder. Turned my water a green tint.

Hmm interesting. Well if you can get the salt to about 4ppt that might do the trick without medications. Otherwise I'd go with an ectoparasite treatment such as something with formaldehyde and/or malachite green. QuickCure has both in it. Maybe what you added has malachite green in it, but I'm not sure. Also, if you think it could be bacterial there's no harm in adding some melafix.
