fish with very dark gills

hi my red devil has very dark purple gills is this normal i dont remember if he alwasy had it, hes still eating and swiming and acting normal anyone no if im just worrying to much?

Post a picture that really helps! It could be normal or it could be a parasite eating the inside of his gills. Hope the best for the Midas!

Def need a pic for this one. Gill flesh is surprisingly dark though.

water paremeters are good 0 ammonia 0 nitrite ph is at around 7.4

heres a pic the flash is on so u cant see it clearly but u could see its a little dark. its darker without flash but the thing is i dont know how to take flash off my camera
