Fish wont stop fighting

As of the last few days my Black Ghost Knife and Fire eel have been fighting over a certain hiding spot. I have a lot of hiding spots in my tank (around 6-7 big decorations) but they both are fighting over the same one. Idk why they dont just go to another spot, but its been going on for about a week and i dont want it to continue.... any pointers to stop them?
 
Have you try taking both of them out, then re-arrange the rock formations and introduce them back into the tank?
 
You can try taking that hiding spot out. That will force them to find another spot...
 
remove the hiding spot nad let them search for a new 1 then add that 1 later
 
agree withe the above about the ornaments...also has there been any injury or damage to either fish from the fighting?

Ive already tryed taking out the ornament, and i re arranged the tank last week. maybe ill try and put it on the other side of the tank where the eel doesnt go?

and no injuries! its more like a pushing match but i dont want it escalating!!

You might need to rearrange the tank some and I would try provide multiple similiar hiding spot or decorations. Try some PVC pipe or rearrange some rock and make a rock cave etc.
